Brad Ford is an amazingly talented interior designer who can transform spaces into residential heavens. With a distinctive attention to detail and quality he creates inspiring and functional environments that complement the personality of his clients. Colors, textures, furnishings and deco objects are masterfully selected and combined in a capturing manner that underlines Ford’s experience in the interior design field. It is worth noting that he was recognized as one of the rising stars of his field by the International Furnishings and Design Association. And of course we can clearly understand why! Enjoy! Shades of Brown 08/29/2010
![]() Talented photographer Emily Gilbert brings out the fresh ‘personality’ and warmth of the following interiors. I quote from her online bio: “Her fascination with lines, space, and repetition coupled with her experience as a Set Dresser lead her to the art of Interior & Architectural photography. Her interest in environments both meticulously designed and those that exist in nature is what drives her to capture the essence of each space she sets out to photograph.” Make sure to check out her truly inspiring portfolio! If you desire a warm, welcoming and easy combining color option for your space, brown is an excellent choice as it has an all time classic essence. Brown, much like black can be wonderfully paired with a variety of shades. However, dark browns have a tendency to absorb light so make sure to choose lighter tones for your walls. I’m always amazed at how buildings and spaces can change a person’s mood or inspire greater things. It’s never boring to me”. The owners of some of the homes shown here are art collectors, so keep an eye for the decorative art details. Renovating a Farm House 04/12/2010
A gorgeous 1904 farm house renovated by Schappacher White Ltd, a N.Y. based architecture and interior design firm. Colors in white, crème and darker shades of brown and black, combined with contemporary and vintage elements create a warm and cozy atmosphere. Natural lighting throughout the spaces is simply amazing. I absolutely love the kitchen wall / black board. A very arty touch! The old rocking chair is another all times classic!
