There is always something that you simply can’t resist. In my case it is desserts! So when I discovered Petit Plat at Etsy, I knew I had to share these mouthwatering detailed miniatures by Stephanie.
In DiTerra online shop clay is transformed into beautiful, unique pieces. Everything is made traditionally on a potter’s wheel and gradually transformed into the desired shape. I love the natural feel of DiTerra’s pottery. The crafter notes: “I enjoy pottery because of it's calming affect, I love sitting at the potter's wheel and watching the clay transform into something new. Pottery is so cool because you start the process with a block of clay and finish with a beautiful and functional piece of art. I especially love decorating and glazing my pieces. Working with clay she creates unexpected pieces that will surely gain attention! Guaranteed to love her creations, especially if you are a zombie & horror lover!        An enchanting collection of whimsical creations sculpted in paper mache and handpainted by a true dreamer! As the artist of Sweet Bestiary notes: “Each of those little beings is a bit of a beast. Be they quasi-animal or completely human. Something about them disturbs me -and touches me, at the same time. Bestiary is the title of my favourite story by Julio Cortázar, my favourite writer”.    I absolutely love the detail and cuteness of these beautiful figurines. Maria is the talented crafter of Heartshaped Creations and she creates her sweet creatures using polymer clay. No molds are used for these unique objects. The whole collection is handmade and it is more than obvious that Maria has a passion for creating!     Transforming clay to unique design objects is Jennifer Nesbitt’s specialization. As the artist mentions “There's something wonderful about manipulating a shapeless lump of clay, and about seeing and feeling a idea take shape. When creating a piece, I'm conscious of form, symmetry (and intentional asymmetry), balance, proportion, and many other elements of aesthetic content. But I want each piece to appeal to the touch as well as the eye. I spend a lot of time on texture because it adds another dimension to the tactility of working with clay and lends a sense of movement and rhythm to the fixed object. I try to use colors to the same effect, combining and layering glazes to create interesting visual textures.” I absolutely love the colorful minimalism and design aesthetics of JMN Pottery.
