There is a dark and dreamy essence in Athena Katsoulieri’s most recent photo projects. Each image, like a word that somehow escaped from a poem. Landscapes captured from a dreamer’s point of view, with slightly distorted colors and unusual perspectives.
The email I received by Mario Pena, a self taught photographer whose images flirt with the essence of dreams, proved to be a quite refreshing and rewarding surprise. “Mouches a la Mode” is a project by Pelle Bergström, one of the masters of still photography who has gained wide recognition with his sophisticated and visually powerful work. His clientele includes international luxury fashion brands such as Hérmès, Luis Vuitton and Marc Jacobs and large corporations (Nokia, Philips, IKEA etc). Just look at these images! I was very happy to receive Joseph’s email some time ago. He communicated with me in order to give me his positive feedback on the blog and also share the work of 2 artists.
